We are seeking self-motivated, independent Mental Health Therapists who want to partner with our existing team and help us expand our reach across Southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon. Current Opening: Remote Mental Health Therapist

  • Job Title: Clinician III / IV / V (Dependent on experience)

  • Location: Fully Remote (Must reside in Clark County, WA or the Greater Portland Area, OR)

  • Employment Type: Part-Time, Pay-Per-Session (Perfect side gig!)

  • Reports To: Erik Curl, LICSW, LCSW

💰 Compensation & Hours

  • Base Salary: $40–$65 per hour (Commensurate with experience, based on billed client contact hours).

  • Payment Schedule: Paid during the first week of every month for the prior month's billed sessions.

  • Caseload Expectations: Minimum of 5 sessions per week (averaging 20 sessions per month). You have ample opportunity to scale up beyond this minimum.

📋 Requirements & Qualifications

To ensure the highest quality of care for our community, our successful applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Licensure: Hold and maintain a full, independent clinical license in Washington and/or Oregon (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, LPC).

  • Location: Must live locally within Clark County, WA or the Greater Portland Area, OR.

  • Autonomy: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ethics: Dedication to continued professional development and strict adherence to professional ethical standards.

🛠️ What We Provide

We want your remote office experience to be seamless. Built For Better Counseling covers the following expenses:

  • Software: Subscriptions to TherapyNotes (EMR, billing, and client portal) and Google Suite (Business Gmail and Google Voice).

  • Marketing: An individualized Portland Therapy Center profile account to help build your client base.

  • Insurance: Basic limited liability insurance for each employee.

  • Supplies: Basic office supplies and a locked cabinet/drawer for secure paper PHI storage.

💻 What You Will Provide

Because this is a fully remote position, therapists are expected to provide the following home office essentials at their own expense:

  • Password-protected personal computer (with updated firewall and antivirus protection).

  • High-speed internet service.

  • Webcam and monitor(s).

  • Additional office items to ensure a comfortable, private, and professional home environment.

  • Note: While not required, we also highly recommend purchasing additional personal professional liability insurance. This position is 100% remote, so travel expenses are not provided.
